PARISH CENTRE

Situated on Carmen's Hall directly across from the church, our parish hall is used by a wide variety of local groups. Activities include:

Dancing classes
Drama
Ladies Club
Ballet classes
Senior Citizens Club
Daily Lunch for Senior Citizens
Study Club for local primary school pupils
Bingo

Although the centre is heavily used, it is possible on occasion, to book the two halls and some of the smaller rooms. All users are required to have insurance and there is a reasonable charge for the use of the facilities.

FÁS PROGRAMMES

Three FÁS Programmes operate out of the Parish Centre, the Maintenance Programme, the Heritage Programme and the Living Heritage Programme.

 A BIT OF HISTORY

The Parish Centre Building, was a school until 1972. It lay unused for a number of years. It was in Fr. O'Beirne's time as Parish priest, that a Committee was formed to develop the centre. They not only brought the Parish Centre into being, but to this day run it and ensure a valuable local asset continues to be available to the local community.
