On most mornings we have Mass or Eucharistic Service between 10am and 10.30am. This is a time of prayer, so we ask you not to visit during this time. The church is open most mornings at 9.30am and closes at 12 noon, with the exception of Thursday when it closes at 11am. On Saturday evening the church is open from 4.30pm before the 6pm mass. On Sunday the church opens at about 10am. It is possible to visit before the 11.30am mass. The church closes after that mass. For further details of Services click here. THE ST. NICHOLAS SIDE CHAPEL As well as the main body of the church, you are welcome to visit the small St. Nicholas Chapel, which is to the right of the altar. Here you can see a beautiful Harry Clarke stained glass window, depicting the marriage of Mary and Joseph. There is also a new Icon of St. Nicholas of Myra commissioned specially for the side chapel. To get a sense of this and other parts of the church click here. HISTORY The present church was built between 1829 and 1834. However there has been a religious settlement on this site for many centuries. To learn a little more about our history click here. PARKING If you have come by car, you are welcome to park in the church yard for the duration of your visit. However once your visit has concluded you should remove your car. The church closes at 12noon most days, and if you leave your car in the church yard it may not be possible to retrieve it until the next day. DONATIONS There is no charge for visiting our church. But we do welcome donations. As a listed building maintenance costs are significant. There is a box at the top left side of the church where you can make a donation.
