BAPTISM AT ST. NICHOLAS OF MYRA IN THE PARISH OF FRANCIS STREET

Baptisms take place on the First Sunday of the Month after the 12 noon mass
All enquires to: 0872401432 or mgreointhynne@gmail.com

What do you need to do?

To apply to have your child Baptised in Francis Street Parish you must be resident in the parish. Having your child baptised is the beginning of a journey to becoming a full member of God's Family, the Church. There are three steps involved: Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation. This is not like joining a club. This is about becoming part of the parish family and through that, the family of God. As parents you are committing yourselves to bringing your child up according to the values of the Gospel. That can be summed up in the words of Jesus himself, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and your neighbour as yourself." This isn't always easy to do and that's why we are given the parish community to support and encourage one another.

What documents do you need?

You must provide a copy of your child's birth certificate and complete the form below and return to the sacristy by email or in person. To get started you will need to contact 0872401432 or mgreointhynne@gmail.com

Before you do any of the above, you should consider what this commitment means and whether you are willing to journey with your child through the various stages of becoming part of God's Family.
